Where did this most delicious of treats originate from? Well, the story told is that Anna, the 7th Duchess of Bedford complained of having a late afternoon "sinking feeling". When her maid served her a pot of tea and light snack to overcome this, the tradition of English Afternoon tea was born.
At the Plough, we have our own Welsh take on this tradition, served with Welsh favourites such as Bara Brith and Welsh Cakes! There's also a bubbles option, with sparkling Prosecco.
We can cater for all dietary requirements, just give our Reception team a call.
