Tariff, Terms & Conditions

Tariffs effective from 18/09/2024

Our pre-paid tariff is our best value tariff.  When opting for our pre-paid tariff (including packages, deals and offers), you will be required to pay for your full stay at the time of booking to secure the best rate for your stay.  This payment is non-refundable. Any outstanding balance for additional services (room service, food, drinks etc.) will be taken at checkout.

Should you need to re-arrange your stay, please do so more than 72 hours (3 days) prior to check-in. We will happily transfer the cost of your booking to a date within 6 months.   Pre-paid tariffs are available up to 7 days prior to check-in.

Our Flexible Tariff provides you with the most flexibility with your booking.  When opting for a flexible tariff, no deposit or pre-payment is required at the time of booking, however your card details will be taken for security.  Full payment is taken at check-in. Any outstanding balance for additional services (room service, food, drinks etc.) will be taken at checkout. 

Failure to cancel your booking more than 72 hours (3 days) prior to check-in, will result in full payment being charged to the debit/credit card taken at the time of booking.

  1. Any booking which relates to five or more rooms for 1 night or equates to 15
    nights or more (e.g. 3 rooms over 5 nights) will be considered a “group/long
    stay booking”. 

  2. All group/long stay bookings are subject to an initial non-refundable deposit of
    £25 per room per night. This is to be paid no later than 1 calendar month from
    the initial reservation.

  3. Any bookings that require dining will be asked to provide a pre-order no later
    than 3 weeks prior to check-in.

  4. The full balance for group bookings is due no later than 1 calendar month prior
    to check in and will automatically be taken from the credit/debit card used to
    secure the booking. 

  5. All deposits/ balances paid are non-refundable.  

  6. All cancellations must be received in writing.

  7. Failure to pay the remaining balance 1 month prior to check-in will result in
    those rooms being cancelled by us, and these rooms will be released for resale
    to the public. Deposits/balances will not be returned.

  8. All cancelled rooms will be released for resale to the public.

  9. In the scenario where rooms continue to be required after this point, subject to
    availability, can be re-booked under the general booking terms. Please refer to
    the pre-paid and flexible tariffs.

  10. Room listings are required 1 month in advance of arrival to include guest
    names, emails and telephone numbers.

Summary of cancellation charges for group/long stay bookings

Should you wish to cancel any rooms, the following charges will apply per room cancelled.

  • More than 1 month - £25 Deposit (per room per night)
  • Within 1 month – Full balance and rooms will be released to the general public for resale.

  1. Accommodation for weddings are provisionally booked out at the time of securing your wedding date.
  2. A flat rate for the rooms will be provided. Price will vary depending on the time of year (e.g. peak/off-peak/weekend).
  3. Guests will be required to contact the hotel directly to make full payment on confirmation no later than 8 weeks prior to the wedding date. Any remaining unoccupied rooms will then be re-opened to the public.

  1. We strongly recommend that you have appropriate travel insurance cover in place should you need to cancel or to cover any losses that may arise.

  1. Check-in is available from 3pm. Any outstanding payments for accommodation will be taken at the time of check-in
  2. All rooms must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure. Any remaining balance for services, food and drink will be taken at the point of check-out.  In the absence of the guest, payment will be taken from the debit/credit card used to secure the booking. 
  3. Early check ins and late check outs may be available upon request. Early check-ins/Late Check-out is chargeable at a rate of £10 per hour.   Subject to availability.

  1. Room service is available during food service times. A tray charge of £5 for dining or £3 for drinks will be added to your final bill, payable at the point of check-out.

  1. Complimentary car parking is available at the hotel and is on a first come, first serve basis.
  2. The Plough Hotel & Restaurant does not accept liability for the loss or damage to any car parked in the Hotel car park. Owners park at their own risk. 

2 electric car charging points are situated at the rear of the hotel.  Perfect for charging your vehicle ready for the next part of your journey. 

To start your charge, simply plug in your vehicle, scan the QR code with your phone and choose to charge your vehicle in full or set a budget. 

Our charges are set to a fixed price of £0.40/kWh with no additional fees.

The chargers are situated at the rear of the hotel directly outside of some of our lower-ground rooms.  Our lower ground rooms have French doors and direct access to the car park.

  2. Tables are reserved for all guests in the restaurant for Dinner at the point of booking. Timings can be arranged at check-in.    If you do not require evening Dining please let us know.   
  3. Guests staying on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast package have a £25pp allocation to spend on food on our A La Carte Menu. No refunds are given for any unused allocation.   Does not include drinks. 

  1. We reserve the right to charge our guests for any damage caused by the guest to the fabric of the building, grounds, roadways or car park will be fully charged; in respect of both labour and materials, in making the necessary repairs (inclusive of sub-contractors working on your behalf).

  1. Please note that smoking is not permitted in any guest bedrooms or indoor public areas, including out of the window.
  2. Any guest found to be smoking in their bedroom will incur a fine of £250 to cover cleaning charges and loss of revenue from smoke damaged rooms.

  1. All bookings for events including Tea with Santa and tribute nights must be paid for in full at the time of booking including any accommodation.
  2. The hotel reserves the right to alter, amend or cancel the contents of an event for any reason, for example if there is a shortfall in the minimum numbers or external factors out of our control. In such cases you may choose to transfer your booking to an alternative date or obtain a voucher to the same value to use within 12 months.
  3. All payments and deposits are non-refundable 
  4. Christmas Parties (2024) - Group Event Bookings - Groups are for 30 or more guests.  A non-refundable £10pp deposit will be taken to secure the booking.  Group bookings will be held provisionally for a maximum of 14 days.  Pre-order of your menu options and full payment to be given 4 weeks prior to your booking.  All payments and deposits for group bookings are non-refundable. 

  1. Children under 12yrs are charged at a rate of £20 per child, per night and is inclusive of Breakfast.  £30 per child per night is charged on all dinner, bed & breakfast packages and is inclusive of breakfast and a dinner allocation of £10pp.  
  2. Where room sizes permit, additional adults are charged at a rate of £40 per night  (Bed & Breakfast) or £65 per night (Dinner, Bed & Breakfast).  

*Dinner is a £25pp allocation to spend on the A La Carte menu and does not include drinks. 

  1. Pets are permitted in selected rooms. A charge of £20 per stay.   Certified Service Dogs are exempt from this charge.   
  2. Maximum of 2 pets per room. Should you wish to bring more than 2 this must be pre-arranged with Management.  This is subject to availability and must be booked at the time of booking to ensure appropriate rooms are allocated. 
  3. Pets are only permitted in selected bedrooms, reception area, specific dining area , bar, outdoor terraces and grounds.
  4. All dogs are to be kept on a lead at all times within the hotel and its grounds. Dogs may be walked, on a lead, in our carpark and on the designated footpath.
  5. Any property damage caused by a pet will be the pet owner’s responsibility and the appropriate charges will be applied to your room account.
  6. Any pet fouling will be the pet owner’s responsibility and the appropriate charges will be applied to your room account if it is not disposed of correctly. Pet waste disposal bins are located across the outdoor areas and baggies are available at reception for your convenience.
  7. The Plough Hotel & Restaurant reserves the right to amend its prices at any time. Bookings are subject to availability. With the exception of the change of rate of VAT, prices will not change once a booking has been made
