Vegan Month at The Plough
To celebrate Vegan Month (November 2019) we are highlighting our Vegan choices in a dedicated menu produced by our talented and creative chefs. For many years we have specialised in meeting all dietary requirements including vegan however up until recently these items had only been available to pre-order. With our new dedicated menu there is no-need to pre-order.
Having Vegan options not only caters for those following a vegan diet, it allows our diners a more diverse choice of dishes including starters, mains and desserts along with Vegan Afternoon Tea. Focusing on nutrients from plant foods and including health-promoting options such as whole grains, fruits, nuts, seeds and vegetables which are packed full of fibre, vitamins and minerals.
We are also able to cater for vegans on our Afternoon Tea menu served daily between 3pm and 5pm, providing a delicious and sweet alternative to the traditional afternoon tea*

“Over the years, we have earned ourselves an excellent reputation for using the very best fresh local produce in our menus and catering for dietary requirements whether it be vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free or pescatarian so vegan dishes are no exception. All the dishes are labelled on our menus so are very easy for customers to identify those that are best for their particular requirement. We are finding diners are keen to choose the vegan dishes even if they are not vegan and they are really enjoying them; it’s just one aspect of how eating habits are changing. For example, on a Sunday, we are finding our customers are keen to have other dishes on the menu in addition to the traditional roast lunches so we now include around 14 other choices. We are noticing that guests are eating later in the day, not necessarily just the lunchtime period so our kitchen is open from breakfast to dinner 7 days a week.”
