On Friday 18th December, the difficult decision to close for 2020 was made, putting the safety of both our amazing team and guests is a priority. The hotel was due to close on Monday 21st December, however due to the unexpected announcement from Welsh Government, the hotel closed earlier than planned. 

For the first time, we will be not be opening the doors to the restaurant on Christmas Day. Instead, we will be offering a takeaway.  Scroll down for more details.  

All guests booked to stay at the hotel or dine in the restaurant have already been contacted to cancel/re-arrange bookings.

A message from Andrew:

I would like to thank each and every one of our guests for understanding and supporting what has been the most difficult decision I have had to make this year. With the increasing number of positive cases and subsequent increased risk I felt it only right to close our doors early.
Our takeaway offering will be available everyday up to and including Christmas Eve and will continue to be available from Wednesday 30th December. See below for a full breakdown of days/times.

I would like to personally thank my team for the hard work they have contributed to the business over the past 12 months. They have faced many challenges since reopening our doors back in July, however they have done it with professionalism and a smile on their faces. My team are what makes The Plough what it is and was the driver behind making the decision to close early. My thoughts and prayers will be with each of them and their families this Christmas. I look forward to the day when we can open our doors again and build The Plough back up with the support of our loyal customers and fabulous team.
