RECIPE 1 – The Plough + bike + mud = MUDDY ADVENTURE

Working alongside the multi award winning MudTrek based in Brechfa Forest we’re able to offer a number of options, from bike hire, guided trails or even “off piste” for the experienced rider. The adventure starts at MudTrek just a short 30 minute or so drive from the hotel.

If you wish to hire bikes, and explore to your own hearts content the trails within Brechfa Forest, ideally you’ll need to have a bike carrier on your vehicle. Don’t let this put you off though, as often the team at MudTrek can transport you to the tracks which are 20 minutes or so away from their base. Trails are designated green, blue, red and black (just like skiing) meaning there is something for everyone, even children.

Options

Option 1: Bike Hire

Cost: Bike Hire £40/bike/full day hire. Hire one of MudTrek’s fleet of Bionicon full suspension bikes.
Notes: Bring wet weather clothing with you. Not suitable for disabled.

Option 2: Guided Bike Trails

Cost: Bike guiding is £150/day whether there is 1 – or up to 8 for a full group. No groups are shared with other riders, so you’ll have the guide – all to yourselves! The bike trails are based in Brechfa Forest, with the option to stop off at a local pub for lunch (not included in the price). The activity is bespoke to your own group, depending on desires, experience and timings.

Option 3: Off Piste

Cost: £150/day. For experienced riders only, whether there is 1 – or up to 8 for a full group. No off piste groups are shared, so you’ll have the guide to your own party. We take you through ancient forests and picture postcard villages to the very highest mountains, from sandy single track to muddy motorways and from steep rocky steps to undulating Roman Roads. You’ll LOVE it!
